THE ARTIST

Jules Topaz is a contemporary artist based in the Whitsundays, Australia. Working intuitively, she creates abstract paintings inspired by nature and movement, translated through layered compositions and a bold use of colour.

Surrounded by the coastal landscape of Airlie Beach, her practice responds to the natural environment in an abstract form rather than a literal depiction. The result is atmospheric work defined by depth, texture, and gesture.

THE JOURNEY

With over 25 years of artistic practice, Jules Topaz has developed a diverse body of work spanning abstract expressionism, minimalism, and contemporary tropical abstraction.

Before focusing full-time on her art practice, she worked professionally as a makeup artist while continuing to paint and exhibit. Her work has since been shown and collected in Australia and internationally, including New York and Hong Kong.

She now works primarily on commissioned, large-scale original artworks for luxury coastal homes across Queensland and Australia, creating each piece from her studio in Airlie Beach.

THE GALLERY

Cocoast Art Gallery is the natural evolution of Jules Topaz's artistic practice—an artist-run gallery dedicated exclusively to her original collections, thoughtfully presented in an intimate marina-view setting.

Located in the heart of Airlie Beach, the gallery offers visitors the opportunity to experience original artworks in person, appreciate their texture and scale, and discover new collections as they are released. Whether you're searching for a statement piece for your home or simply wish to experience the collection in person, Cocoast Art Gallery offers a welcoming and memorable gallery experience.
